Reading in 2022...
After finishing the Paramount streaming series- The Offer (Great show about making of the Godfather movie). I have focused on spending more time reading (or even listening).
Fictional books tend to be more entertaining on audible vice reading from a book or kindle. Here is the list so far in 2022. The winning group is Jack Carr’s series about James Reese. I would first listen to Joe Rogan’s podcast with the author as an initiation:
True Believer by Jack Carr
The Terminal List by Jack Carr (the book is way better than the Prime Video Series)
The Psychology of Money by Morgan House (must read for your children)
The Innovators by Walter Isaacson
Tuesday’s with Morrie by Mitch Albom.
Freedom’s Forge by Arthur Herman. Great book on WWII industrial base. I did not realize Frank Kaiser was from my hometown of Whitesboro, NY!
The Phoenix Project by Gene Kim Must read if you like DEVSECOPS
The Lincoln Highway by Amor Towles
Beyond Order: 12 rules of Life by Jordan Peterson
1984 by George Orwell. Reread was a must considering the times and I found it in paperback for $5 dollars in an Annapolis bookstore.
Animal Farm by George Orwell. Reread for the same reason. as #10
Three days at Camp David by Jeffrey Garten. A bit of history is when Nixon got us off the Gold Standard. Relevant to today’s BitCoin discussions.
All the Jack Carr books are great and relevant to today's world. Just started his latest- "Only the Dead"
